We’re leveling the playing field for KC kids who lack the resources they need to get in the game.
ShareWaves, Powered by Sports Radio 810WHB, is a new 501c3 tax-exempt public charity working to advance opportunities for all kids to experience the life-enriching "power of sports". We are currently working on ways to give kids greater access to sports by creating #Ready2Play Training Camps for under-resourced communities.
We are partnering with Kansas City Kansas Public Schools (KCKPS) to produce a virtual physical activity/education course for the more than 4,800 middle-school students. These kids are suffering without access to organized winter sports or physical activity due to the COVID-19 pandemic and continue to be "virtual" until April. The new program will be implemented at the beginning of February and distributed through a custom software app developed specifically for youth athletic development.

Without access to sports and structured play, kids miss out on critical benefits, including physical health, social-emotional growth, and academic development. For too many households, the resource gap is ever-widening, limiting opportunities for kids to participate in sports and keep them safe, occupied, and active. ShareWaves is on a mission to close the gap, with community partnerships and programs to break down the barriers to sports participation.
